Mission Statement

“To facilitate events with the purpose of strengthening relationships within FLEG and administer FLEG’s STEM Outreach program. A heavy emphasis will be placed on promoting community service activities both internally and externally, while also maintaining the mentorship program within the organization. This committee establishes and maintains a healthy alumni relationship by connecting the alumni to the current state of the organization and the development of the members within it.”

“I love Internal Affairs because we build a community within FLEG! By hosting membership and alumni events, in addition to facilitating the mentorship program, we promote a tightly-knit family atmosphere. As an Internal Affairs committee member last year, I quickly fell in love with our team’s mission. Hosting events for FLEG and SLEG made me realize my passion for inclusivity and for creating lasting friendships within our organization. I am so excited to work with this year’s committee to keep FLEG the organization we all call home!”

“I would not be where I am today without FLEG. Besides just telling us about effective leadership techniques and skills, the mentors and upperclassmen of this organization actively invested in us to show us what leadership looks like. I was able to develop my own leadership style because this organization was willing to invest in me and provide me with opportunities to grow. But more than anything, FLEG is a family. I’m surrounded by a community of people who love each other and want to see each other grow”

Recent Events

In February, FLEG went to Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park for their Spring Retreat. There was fun games, leadership development, reflection activities and overall some great FLEG bonding!

As a part of E-Week, Internal Affairs had a tie dye event. Everyone got a chance to tie dye a pair of socks and seemed to really enjoy it! Pictured here are Sofia and Prajakta, FLEG Class of 2016-2017, playing with some of the socks before they were dyed.

At the end of fall semester, Internal hosted a Winter White Elephant Exchange Party. We decorated cookies, listened to holiday music, and had a hilarious gift exchange. Everyone had a great time!
